Laura Méndez

Laura Méndez is an interdisciplinary artist from Colombia,her career started in the theater as an actress going through the audiovisual industry and connecting with the universe of writing, directing and performing stories.She also explores also the possibilities of telling stories from body expression through pole dance and physical theater, and from textile art, especially embroidery and crochet.

 

She came to the Netherlands in 2021 to complete an MBA in Imagineering, a Social/Business innovation program,where she was able to bond her creative thinking and background  with the business world. Now, she is bringing to the province a bunch of creative ideas to fill the gap between mind, body and actions through arts, crafts, and

stories with “Craft Telling”, providing calmness and meaningful experiences in between busy

schedules and hectic lives.

 

 

CRAFT TELLERS' ROOM: The Feeling of Belonging

CRAFT TELLERS’ ROOMS is a platform for people to come together and connect through meaningful conversations in craft meetings. In this edition, we will gather and embroider about -the feeling of belonging-, and how we connect with others and the surroundings. A safe space is provided where hierarchy is avoided, all voices are valued and all stories are heard.

 

Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
